MedStep - Privacy Policy

MedStep is an offline educational application. We do not collect personal data. This document explains what happens with information on your device and which third parties are involved.

What data we collect

None. MedStep does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data, device identifiers, or location information. There is no user account, login, or server-side component to the application.

Data stored on your device

The application stores only the following technical settings in your device’s local storage: the list of your favorite procedures (key: ms_favs), the Quick Mode toggle state (key: ms_quick), and confirmation of the initial disclaimer (key: ms_disclaimer_ack_v1). This data never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the application.

Third parties and analytics

The application contains no advertising SDKs, analytics tools, or tracking technologies. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase, Sentry, Crashlytics, or any similar services.

Network communication

MedStep functions fully offline after download. The application may connect to Expo Updates for the delivery of content updates (without any personal data); otherwise, it does not communicate with any server.

Children

The application is intended for adult healthcare professionals, paramedics, and medical students. It is not directed at children under 18 years of age.

User rights

Because we do not collect any personal data, there is nothing for us to share, correct, or delete. You can remove local settings at any time by uninstalling the application.

Changes to this policy

When we update the privacy policy, we will revise this page within the application and in the project repository. The date of the last update is provided at the end of this document.

Contact

Questions regarding privacy can be directed to the application developer through the contact information listed in the Google Play Store.
